Coming Soon - Limited Edition

One of the things we love most about what we do, is the designing of a new product. The creativity. The trial and, yes, a healthy dose of error as well. Those errors feel necessary once we get the satisfaction of completing our project to a standard that we’re proud of. With that in mind, we’d like to announce that we will be periodically welcoming limited edition guitar straps into the family.

We realise that creating limited edition guitar straps is a move in a slightly different direction for us, so we’d like to explain our reasons. And there are a few. The inescapable one is that we might choose to use specialist materials or leather hides that are themselves limited. We won’t always be able to acquire the leather or materials we’re using and therefore can’t add it to our normal range, even if we wanted to. And we don’t want to. As touched on above, we’re using these projects as a creative outlet. It allows us to step away from our day-to-day activities and sink our teeth into something new and exciting. Don’t get us wrong though, we still love our day-to-day stuff too!

We’ll also be pouring a lot of extra work into each of the new designs, trying out new techniques and implementing some of the more time-consuming – but ultimately fulfilling – leathercraft skills that we possess. Keeping these projects limited allows us to balance the time taken to craft them, whilst continuing to make our regular lines as usual.

Now, it should come as no surprise that these limited edition guitar straps will carry a heavier cost than our regular lines. But this is simply because of the reasons listed above. Some of their components won’t always be readily available, they will be rare and exclusive items and there will be a heck of a lot of blood, sweat and tears involved in their construction. Having said that, we’re not in the business of ripping off our customers as that doesn’t inspire the loyalty or repeat orders – and we strive for these things over making a quick buck, so to speak.

For us, these projects are a chance to experiment with different techniques, materials and themes, to develop our skills, and to explore things that might not fit our current range. For you, it means a chance to support us in what we do, enjoy the results of our experiments, and bag yourself a rare and exclusive Heistercamp product. They might become something of a collector’s item…

It hopefully goes without saying but these limited edition guitar straps will still adhere to the current ethics we employ on our existing products. I’ve spoken about their cost being fair, but also the standard of craftsmanship will be consistent with our other products. These limited edition guitar straps will not leave our workshop if we are not happy with the finished result. And, should we somehow miss a flaw in their construction that creates a problem for you further down the line, we will be on hand to remedy the issue. Though this is unlikely, it offers you peace of mind when investing in us.
