A Tartan welcome for Taylor Swift

We were approached by master tailors Kinloch Anderson to help with a Civic gift they were going to present to Super Star Taylor Swift at the start of her UK tour in Edinburgh.

 

Fiona Whitson, head of Design & Development had some bespoke Edinburgh 900 tartan woven for Taylor and asked if we could use it to make two guitar straps. Of course we were pleased to help, using our super soft tan leather as a lining and our tan Pull Up leather for the ends, made two fully adjustable straps. We fitted the straps with brass metalware, complimenting the words ‘Fàilte chridheil gu Dùn Èideann’ – A heartfelt welcome to Edinburgh, really stand out.

 

The first strap was a gift for Taylor (1/2) and the second (2/2) was to be signed by her and would then be auctioned later, with the proceeds going towards the One City Trust.
