Our Straps have been named after Tors on Dartmoor, which is the inspirational backdrop to our workshop here in Devon. Tors are the distinctive peaks and rocky outcrops found all over Dartmoor, with Leedon Tor sitting on the south-western side of Dartmoor between Princetown and Yelverton.
All of our products are handmade by us. We only use bona fide, full-grain leather – which means, amongst other things, that the hides contain natural creasing and markings that the cow gained over its life. It adds great depth and character to the products and, as a result, makes each item unique.

Lead Times
As our products are handmade to order, we quote for 10 working days to cover ourselves during busier periods, don’t forget there are only 3 of us! Having said that we often complete orders sooner than this and if you have a special date you need the product by then please get in touch and we can see if we can squeeze you in. The only exception to this is our Stock Straps and our Discounted products which are usually shipped within 48 working hours.
Shipping
We ship internationally and FedEx are our chosen parcel protectors. If you live within the United Kingdom then your postage cost is included in the product price. We use the services of the Royal Mail – Special Deliver and also Signed for – the latter can take up to 3 working days for items to be delivered. Our smaller items are also sent via Royal mail for cost reasons.
The shipping cost is automatically calculated at the checkout and depends on the weight of the products as well as your location. The location will also affect how long the products take to arrive on your doorstep, usually between 3-10 working days.
Payment
We use Sage-Pay and Paypal for our online payments. We only accept Visa Debit & Credit and MasterCard Debit & Credit.
We no longer accept Cheques (If you can remember what they are) and as much as we love being showered in hard currency, we don’t accept cash.

Got two of these and two other Heistercamp straps, don’t use any others now, the only negative comment is that the initials that I had on my Navy Blue don’t stand out due to the dark colour, I can live with that and now don’t bother with them, as straps they are second to none and these without any metalwork are superb on my acoustics.

I have just taken delivery of my second Super Soft Leedon Tor strap and I love this one just as much as the first one.. possibly even more as the length was customised to my exact requirement. These straps really are a premium product, I deliberated at first as to whether to buy just a standard off the peg strap elsewhere for a bit less money but I am so glad I went with Heistercamp, these straps really are beautifully made of lovely supple high quality leather and they look and feel gorgeous and are very comfortable around the shoulder… I don’t think I will ever use any others now. I like the way you can choose the options easily on the website and they couldn’t have been more helpful with my questions about any variations to the standard offerings. In the end I chose another Leedon Tor in a different colour to the last one, I didn’t want any buckles near my hand built acoustic guitars but next time I may choose one of their other designs!
Oh.. and I also like the fact that it takes about 10 days before your item arrives as I am reassured to know I am getting something that has been hand made to order for me. Thanks again Alaine and the crew at Heistercamp for another beautiful guitar strap.

I’ve just taken delivery of this beautiful Leedon tor SS in mid tan leather and to say it is gorgeous is an understatement!
The craftsmanship and quality of this strap is second to none and you immediately get the feeling that it’ll last a lifetime!
I ordered this strap for my number one guitar, a vintage 52’ Telecaster whose butterscotch finish has aged a fair amount and faded to a lighter yellow colour, and the mid tan of this strap just suits it perfectly! I wouldn’t adorn my main working guitar with anything other than the perfect strap and I can now safely say that I’ve found it! I gig this guitar 3 times per week and use it on countless sessions, and this strap will be there every time from this day on!
I also teach guitar and will be recommending these straps to every one of my students… in fact I’m already eyeing up an “Arch Tor” for my other Tele!
I should also mention that the shipping was insanely fast!.. I placed my order and 3 days later it arrived!!

Just received my Super Soft Leedon Tor strap. I ordered it with a cable tidy and with the plectrum pockets. It is a fabulous strap and it was very nicely packaged. It would make a beautiful gift for any guitarist. Not cheap, but if you want the best look no further.

So, along comes a new guitar, which I had planned to keep at home as it’s a Taylor 424 in beautiful Koa. But after an hour of playing it became clear that this guitar demanded to be gigged, so needed a strap, and that strap had to be a Heistercamp like I have on my electrics. This time though it had to be a Leedon Tor, as there are no metal parts on that model. I ordered a matching transmitter pouch to complete the kit, and the ever-diligent Alaine emailed to check that I really did want this to fit on the feeder part of the strap, rather than the more commonly specified wider body section – another example of the attention to detail at Heistercamp. I am not yet guilty of buying another guitar just to justify another strap, but it’s close, so I buy another belt when that desire arises! Thanks again guys.

I first spotted Heistercamp straps at Mansons guitar shop in Exeter and afterwards regretted not buying one then. Still, I tracked them down online and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Leedon (Tor) SS in red (for an Epiphone Sheraton in ebony). The strap arrived quickly and the service and communications from Alaine were faultless. The quality is superb, extremely comfortable and the colour exactly as I wanted. It looks and feels like exactly what it is – a beautiful high-end bespoke strap. Worth every penny. Now I’m looking at my other guitars and wondering if its time to upgrade the straps on some of those. If only my guitar skills were on a par with Heistercamp’s leather crafting skills!

I have two Leedons in super-soft and one done in pull-up. They’re perfect, honestly. They don’t slip around on the shoulder and they mould to you in a few wears, then you forget you’re wearing it. Made to last.
The pull-up leather one squeaked at first, but I hit it with some Obenauf’s leather conditioner and it was fine to use in recordings afterwards haha!
